Workload Actions
ScaleOps continuously updates the workload recommendation based on its resource consumption of CPU and Memory and its recommendation policy.
Workload Automation
You can shift a workload to automated mode by clicking on the automation button.
After enabling automation, ScaleOps will continuously and automatically update the workload’s pods resources to run optimally according to the automation policy. The automation fixes overprovisioning resources that leads to cloud waste and fixes underprovisioning that leads performance issues.
*ScaleOps continuously updates the resources according to demand and has Auto-Healing mechanism so you can get started immediately.
Bulk Automation
Cluster Automation
You can automate the entire cluster by clicking the Automate Now button at the Workload Rightsizing page. The action will apply to all current and future workloads.
Namespace Automation
You can automate a namespace by selecting the relevant namespaces using the namespaces filter. Open the Actions menu and click Automate under the Namespace actions button.
Automate Selected Workloads
You can automate several workloads by selecting the relevant ones. Open the Actions menu and click Automate under the Workloads actions button.
Attach Policies
You can attach a policy to a workload by clicking on the workload policy and selecting a new policy for it.
Look for our auto-detection policy, which will automatically assign the best policy to your workload by default.
Bulk Action to attach Policies
You can attach a new policy to several workloads by selecting the relevant workloads. Open the Actions menu and click Attach policy to under the Workloads actions button.
Attach Policy to Namespaces
You can attach a policy to a namespace by selecting the relevant namespaces using the namespaces filter. Open the Actions menu and click Attach policy under the Namespace actions button.
Un-automate Workload
You can disable the automation by clicking the automation button. Afterwards the workload resources will get the old values as it had before the automation.
Exclude from Automation
Exclude from Automation action allows to make sure that specific workloads are not being automated as part of wider automation, like namespace or cluster automation. You can exclude workloads from automation in 2 ways:
- Workload Actions Menu: Use the three-dot menu in the workload row and click Exclude from automation

- Rightsize Actions Menu: To exclude multiple workloads from automation in bulk, click Rightsize Actions and click Exclude from Automation

Note that workloads can be excluded from automation via GitOps as well - see the ScaleOps via GitOps article for more information.
When a workload is excluded from automation, there will a lock icon with an appropriate tooltip on the exclusion source.

In order to view excluded workloads, click the automation excluded filter.

Conflict Resolution
When multiple exclusion methods are applied to the same workload, the effective behavior follows this priority order:
- GitOps
- UI action
- Settings-based exclusion (e.g., DaemonSets exclusion, Custom Namespace Labels).
This means that, for example, if an excludsion was configured in GitOps, it cannot be reverted via the UI. This ensures predictable and transparent handling of conflicts.
Restore to suggested policy
You can restore the workload to the suggested policy.
By bulk action:
Select the relevant workloads, open the Actions menu, and click Restore to suggested policy under the Workloads Actions button.
By single action:
Click on the three dots next to the automation button and click Restore to suggested policy.
Attach Policy to Cluster
You can attach a policy to the entire cluster by opening the Actions menu and clicking Attach policy under the Cluster actions button.
Restore suggested policy to Cluster
You can restore the entire cluster to the suggested policy by opening the Actions menu and clicking Restore suggested policy under the Cluster actions button.
Rollout workload
You can rollout your workload via our UI.
By bulk action:
Select the relevant workloads, open the Actions menu, and click Rollout under the Workloads actions button.
By single action:
Click on the three dots next to the automation button and click Rollout.
